The Inkwell service is provided by Silicon Alley. We were established in 1993 and are based in our purpose built office and warehousing complex in the coastal town of Maldon in Essex. We also have a retail computer outlet based in our building.
Save Time and Money with Inkwell from Silicon Alley
We came up with the idea of the Inkwell service when we noticed how much time and hassle it was taking for Network Managers to manage their stocks of ink and toner cartridges. This seemed to us to be a huge waste of the ICT team’s time and skills. We tried out the idea with some of our local regular school customers to see if would really benefit them. It was hard work for us to deliver the service at first, but our customers loved it. They no longer had to worry about managing their ink and toner stocks, they never ran out of cartridges and so didn’t get hassled by users any more – and they didn’t get stuck with redundant stock. It meant that they could spend more of their time using their skills and doing the more interesting things, so they could provide a better service to their users and be more responsive to requests from the SLT.
Since then we have devoted a great deal of time to develop our internal processes as well as a complex suite of software to enable us to deliver a consistent and high quality service and have school users all over the UK as well as other organisations of professionals including medical practices, PR, City banks and solicitors.
